Blackthorn Productions is a Guelph based company that specializes in Education and Entertainment. For over 15 years we have focused on the grade 4 unit on medieval history and teaching Stage Combat workshops to high school drama classes as well as the public. Our programs include festivals, live theatre, educational programs, workshops, film projects and customized presentations. Blackthorn Productions provides a complete, fun filled family oriented experience. Our medieval presentations conform to the Ontario Social Studies (Grade 4) Curriculum for Medieval History and our stage combat workshops are linked to the SHSM program (Specialist High Skills Major).

MEDIEVAL WORKSHOPS
If you have ever wanted to sample some aspects of the middle ages our workshops can help you find your way. Whether it making chain-maille or creating you own coat of arms there is something for you. All workshops can be done one on one or in groups.
STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOPS
Stage combat is the illusion of violence. Just as a magician uses slight hand and misdirection to make an audience believe what they are seeing is real, we use similar techniques to make violence believable and safe. These workshops can be done for High School Drama or for private groups and individuals
